To gear up for fall planting and to get everyone excited, each week I’ll feature one of my favorite fall planted bulbs and it will become Holland Bulb Farm’s Bulb Bargain for that one day ONLY. They’ll also be featuring a unique shipping deal each week with the bargain, so it’s the perfect opportunity to scoop up a new bulb you’ve been wanting to plant. Keep checking back or sign up for their newsletter to be notified each week of the deal.
One of my favorite activities of Spring is strolling down the street with my dogs and seeing the pretty little faces of the brightly colored daffodils! Daffodils are amongst the first bulbs to bloom and we absolutely adore the bright and sunny faces of Dutch Master Daffodils!
This early blooming daffodil features a sturdy 18” stem even in the rainiest and coldest spring season! My friends in the southern states, such as California, Alabama and parts of Northern Florida, say that there Dutch Master Daffodil perform incredibly well, all the way up to hardiness zone 9 (find your hardiness zone here). If you are looking to fill a wood line, or naturalize a large area, the fortune daffodils are one of the best spring blooming bulbs for this! Welcome spring 2015 with these lovely, and cheery yellow daffodils!
PS – these bulbs are top size and these blooms will be huge!
